Understanding the Nevada EBT Card

The Nevada EBT Card functions similarly to a debit or credit card, loaded with food stamps and/or cash benefits. It's accepted at authorized stores. Upon approval for benefits, you'll receive this card. For assistance, contact Nevada's EBT customer service at 1-866-281-2443.

Applying for Food Stamps

The most straightforward method to apply for food stamps is online through the Access Nevada portal. Alternatively, you can apply in person by reaching out to your local Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) office or calling the Nevada SNAP hotline at 1-800-992-0900.

Renewing Your Food Stamps

It's crucial to renew your food stamps before your certification period ends, which typically ranges from 6 to 12 months for most Nevada households. Confirm your specific certification period with your caseworker.

EBT Deposit Schedule

Benefits are distributed over the first 10 days of every month, based on the last number of your birth year. For example, if your birth year ends in 0, benefits are available on the 1st of the month.

Reporting Changes

To report changes such as income adjustments, household size, or address updates, contact your local DWSS office or call the Nevada SNAP hotline at 1-800-992-0900.

Replacing a Lost or Stolen EBT Card

If your EBT card is lost or stolen, immediately call the Nevada EBT customer service at 1-866-281-2443 to report it and request a replacement.

Additional Benefits

Beyond SNAP, Nevada offers programs like WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) and TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). For more information on these programs and to determine eligibility, visit the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services.
